I also originally thought that...

Chari Ouest III could be a relinquished sub-division of Chari Ouest until Longtimer found the map that showed both blocks and the block labeled Chari Ouest was the same as the Chari Ouest block shown in the Energem Aim document. I still think we got CPC/OPICs 50% relinquished acreage of Chari Ouest III and no proven oil (yet), but will be happy to eat much crow if shown otherwise.

Kobi, Energem's Chari Ouest block was this one:

When EHRC's announcement was first made, we thought this was ERHC's Chari Ouest Block 3. But Energem's block was really Chari-Ouest (Borogop), which Griffiths Energy picked up earlier this year.

So the 8,200 km2 does not apply to Chari-Ouest Block 3. - LT
