Timeline...

...so what are we talking about here then? 3 years to come up with seismics and a partner and approx. $25 million via farm ins and what not.

Will ERHC's share price rise immediately with an announcement of a partner in Chad? (I would think so, since a partner probably means ERHC won't lose its $5 million investment in this 3 year contract, reducing risk.)

Or will investors want to wait 3 years to at least see whether the seismics are any good?

Or if seismics are done much sooner, will positive seismics stoke investor demand in ERHC?

Certainly no one will want to invest due to Chad without seismic results, right?

On the other hand, the NSAI presumably relied on seismics, right? So much for that in the JDZ. Will Chad be any different? Maybe no one will care about the seismics, and opt instead to wait for drilling?

Then you are definitely talking 3 years before Chad does anything to our share price, right?

Also, if Energem already did the seismics, can ERHC benefit from prior work done and, therefore, speed up the process?

Krombacher - the above are mostly questions, indicating that I have no clue. Hence, the above may be wrong.

"The Chinese sort of "owe" ERHC for forcing ERHC to keep quiet about the JDZ, I would think. Or at least, ERHC has gotten some "points" with SNP for its discretion in remaining quiet."

The Chinese don't owe ERHC anything IMHO. If their contract requires information to be reported only by SNP then ERHC had a legal obligation to keep quiet. But ERHC reported the findings of the drilling so that must have been OK'ed by SNP. ERHC has not done SNP any favors...they just abided by their legal obligations. If they hadn't, they could face severe consequences. And God help ERHC if they lied about the drilling results. I doubt that SNP would have OK'ed any lies anyway. They also have legal obligations.

This does not mean that SNP is...or is not...involved with ERHC in Chad. Any partnerships will be disclosed when the time is right. All the guessing is just that.
