I have to keep reminding myself that the prize for which the United States is playing is world domination. This isn’t just about subduing the enemies of the United States, world domination means we will be going after our allies including Europe and Israel as well. This is what’s easy to forget. We have just made an attempt to control Europe’s foreign policy through their constitution. If we succeed in controlling their foreign policy, its looking iffy right now, there is not that much left - we will have all of Europe.
Europe better step back and start looking at the whole picture.
But the "non" bete noire may as well be article I-41, on the "common security and defense policy", which states that "commitments and cooperation in this area shall be consistent with commitments under the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)". This would mean that the EU is tied for life to NATO, the instrument through which the US controls the EU's foreign policy. It is perfectly feasible to read the constitution as the EU and the US playing good-cop, bad-cop in the global arena. http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Front_Page/GE28Aa01.html
The U.S. probably plans on using one or more of these Littoral Combat Ships in the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea.
The Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) is the first of a new family of surface ships for the US Navy. The LCS is a fast, highly maneuverable, networked surface combat ship, which is a specialized variant of the family of US future surface combat ships known as DD(X). LCS is designed to satisfy the urgent requirement for shallow draft vessels to operate in the littoral (coastal waters) to counter growing potential "asymmetric" threats of coastal mines, quiet diesel submarines and the potential to carry explosives and terrorists on small, fast, armed boats.
United Press International, for instance, reported last week that the Pentagon was eyeing bases on Romania's scenic Black Sea coast and that the Romanians (whose plans for a world-class, Disney-style Dracula theme park seem to have fallen through) were eager to be of well-paid service in the "war on terror". #msg-6547121
