Thanks, Net-Man. I don't know if we can yet appreciate the scope of this Pratt & Whitney project, funded by the Department of Energy.
But here is the abstract.....
"Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne (PWR) is developing a Compact Gasification System that is more efficient and lower cost than current state-of-the-art gasification systems. The entrained flow PWR Compact Gasifier is designed to handle all types of carbonaceous feedstocks. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is interested in the economics of this gasification system firing on coal/biomass blend feedstocks."
Its a pretty amazing report which I am continuing to read through today.
