Ugh. I know the SEC doesn't have as much bite and as fast as some including me would like, but figured its tooth would be a little bigger. What little I know of the dynamics of the SEC is that Congress isn't too hip on funding the SEC or giving it much authority- streamline things for the little guy is the sales rationale.
I'm with Drew on disliking bigger, badder guv'ment and red tape. But, it seems with the notion of deregulating everything starting in the 1980s, government has only gotten bigger while things like penny scams crept into the markets and e coli in the meat plants.
The nuance is: OTC is not an exchange and different or no rules apply. Thanks.
