Got the August issue of Amerian Rifleman today.
The 'The' was dropped from American Rifleman cover and masthead without explanation in 1978.
It's their 125th Annv. issue. The artical is 14 pages long.
The Rifle 1885, Shooting & Fishing 1888, Arms & the Man 1906.

Their having a Hertage Auction in august.
Here's some hights if the gun auction.

But I love this rifle...Sharps Model 1874 Breechloading Single-Shot Sporting Rifle with Factory Letter.
In 45-70 caliber, 28 3/4-inch round barrel.
