Others like ICM can still be awarded the installation contracts thus still reap the fruit of Corn Oil extraction. It's just the producers are supposed to license with the Patent holder GreenShift and pay the royalty, inventor, patent holders first mover advantage. Its forecasted that around 70% of the ethanol industry will install COES within the coming decade, I think sooner. Looks like they must all license thru GreenShift. Having GreenShift do the whole package like with Sunoco is better for both parties as GreenShift gets paid for the installation and equipment ,rather than go with ICM for install who gets the install payment. The complete GERS package is optimized, but with ICM, GreenShift will have to come in after to optimize, they are licensed to GreenShift. Looks like ICM was awarded $18 million for installation in 5 GPRE plants.
