That's how I just read the whole pr of it, it's a "step" forward as you said. It was a mandatory step that had to be acheived before anything further could.

The Central Contractor Registration (CCR.GOV) is the primary vendor database for the U.S. Federal Government. The CCR collects, validates, stores and disseminates data in support of agency acquisition missions.

Both current and potential government vendors are required to register in CCR in order to do be awarded contracts by the government. Vendors are required to complete a one-time registration to provide basic information relevant to procurement and financial transactions. Vendors must update or renew their registration annually to maintain an active status.

CCR validates the vendor's information and electronically shares the secure and encrypted data with the federal agencies' finance offices to facilitate paperless payments through electronic funds transfer (EFT). Additionally, CCR shares the data with government procurement and electronic business systems

There is a lot of "red tape" to overcome to get on that list....it is quite an accomplishment in itself....if the U.S Government likes 1000+ and some of Winning Brands other products?....you are talking about the biggest National Account in the world!!...time will tell and as you said ,nothing has been ordered yet....but I will say this....the U.S. Government is huge and they order more that 1 case at a time...IMHO this is great news....we shall see...
