These three numbers on the Naz, $INDU and $NDX (2100, 10600 and 1555, give or take 1%) are indeed critical, if taken, then the shorts might feel pain. We have had record short interest now for three months in a row (NYSE), however. It may indicate that any reaction will be well contained. ViWes has stopped their reporting now for almost two years. Do you have a good source of historical data on total short interest on both the NYSE and the Naz, going let say, 5 to 10 years back?
