I received this yesterday... Looks like the honorable Congresswoman may be visiting us here at the Your Economy thread. While I invited her to post, she most likely will only be lurking. If anyone has opinions or ideas to post about anything relating to markets (manipulation?), economy, government, environment, healthcare, social security, education, etc, etc.

Dear Mr. XXXXXX:

Thank you for your thoughtful letter. I appreciate the time
that you took to share your views with me and that you gave
me your website address.

Like you, I am concerned about the direction that the GOP
leadership is taking our nation. Unfortunately, the GOP has
used their control of the White House, the Senate and the
House of Representatives to ease water, land and air
pollution restrictions, provide gigantic tax breaks for their
friends in the energy industry, open up the ANWR for drilling,
threaten the Social Security system, shortchange education
funding and neglect the nation's health care needs.

Please know that I have and will continue to support efforts
that protect the environment, provide us with renewable and
more efficient energy sources, adequately fund our
education programs, advocate affordable health care and
protect the Social Security system from privatization.

I look forward to reading the opinions posted on your chat
message board regarding these and other issues.
