I once lived it, via Elan ....... and then ...... (well thankfully I had diversified somewhat into DNDN, YMI, and a few others).

Surely biotech, being today at the same valuations as late 99 or early 02 - is now more advanced (I even read that JNJ has 17 late-stage trials underwway, versus 2 just 3-4 years ago), and is a "meta" bargain (if you can pick the right ones).
