Stills, AMYZF is the USA pinksheet version of the Canadian stock AMY.v.
Nearly all of these Canadian junior exploration/development mining stocks (regardless of whether they are plays on gold, silver, copper, alumina, manganese, rare earths, oil, etc.) start off on the Canadian Venture exchange, then at some point they get an American pinksheets ticker (and sometimes a European listing, too, like on the Frankfurt exchange), then at some point if all is going well they move up to trade on the main Toronto exchange and then, if they're really going to become a respectable producer, and have already cleared the enviro-permitting process, etc., they get a listing on the Amex or NYSE.
AMY is still at least 1-2 years away from an Amex or NYSE listing, IMO.
But don't be fooled-- in a month or two they could get bought out by a big steel, aluminum or battery manufacturer for 4x, 6x, or 10x what they're trading for today. Their NPV (net present value) is estimated in the billions of $.
Btw, in further response to your Q, it's usually (but not always) the case that the Canadian ticker for one of these Canadian junior commodity plays trades on much greater daily volume than the USA pinksheet ticker.
