arizona1 -- did you see him/do you remember him from before 9/11 (back on HBO)? -- to me that was the original Miller, not a wingnut, and often pretty damned funny -- then 9/11 and he just went craven, trembling Nazi supporter -- 'do whatever ya gotta do, keep me safe, blow up the ragheads, whaddaya means laws, hahahahaha' -- and it wasn't just the really radical nativist attitude shift; his shit, his lines, once informed by what I considered a keen smartazz wit, just completely went flat, 'non sequitur, ragheads, anti-Bush traitors, non sequitur, hahahahaha' -- his delivery, once razor-sharp, became stilted and forced -- and so forth

Dennis Miller appealed mainly to educated, pretentious pricks (most of whom were yuppies), but he had his moments.

I followed him (along with several other comedians such as Sam Kinison, Adam Sandler, Dennis Leary, etc) during my college years.

An Ordinarydude who thought the "Jerky Boys" were freaking hilarious too.....
