They sure as hell did. And look what happened....we got years of bad debts, a shitty economy, a couple of COSTLY wars, etc.

I don't quite understand what you're trying to accomplish with this discussion. This was your original premise to which I responded....

When both parties aren't willing to compromise on key issues that positively affects the people, then they share a common bond with each other.

But for some reason, you seem to be blaming the democrats for the failures in this country by not compromising. If you insist on continuing this conversation, I suggest you go back and follow the thread and maybe rephrase the point you're trying to get across.
