hamvestor - I agree nothing in the article qualified as a meaningful "denial," and I posted it more for context than as proof of anything. I hope he seeks asylum, but I have my doubts. FWIW, here is another article regarding Libya's "denial."

I saw the former russian premier before Putin on tv in november ( having a senior moment) say the same thing. he didnt think things would break down etc etc
