its amazing how much money can be stolen at the 5th digit

most notably when a stock is at no bid

i have already witnessed sells for say $.00001 at market when a stock is at no bid and ask is at $.0001

so lets say you paid $100 for 1M shares at $.0001, the MM sells them to you for $100 (who knows what they initially paid for)

now lets say you got impatient or an investor became impatient and sold for market @ $.00001 for $10 minus commission it is basically a big fat $0.

so that MM bought 1M shares for $10, your down $100.00

then they resell those same 1M shares to some other investors for $100, BAM, thats a 900% gain right out the gate picking up $90 per MILLION shares sold in this cellar.

however $.0001 and $.0002 range is a little different if the 5th digit is being hit

lets say you paid $200 for 1M shares at $.0002 and then the MM will only except sell for $.0001, thats a 50% loss for the investor and a potential 100% gain for the MM when they resell those same 1M shares back for $200, netting the $100 spread

$.00015 or $.00011 are a little more complex but not much and no need to get into it, but 5th digit trades exist for sure
