That could be it. It was several years ago. I just stopped following BCRX closely after that, because I thought their response to the failure was a bit of a joke. I seem to recall them taking a lot of flak from the likes of Feuerstein and others surrounding the whole ordeal as well. They may have improved prospects since then but that whole event turned me off and those things can stick with you.

With regard to gout, now that NVS' Ilaris is out of the picture, who beyond RDEA (Phase 2B) and SVNT are active in developing or marketing gout medications.

REGN's Arcalyst for one. I'm sure there are others as well, beyond the RDEA and SVNT drugs.

Unfortunately, tolerability info was not presented.

I'd be curious if that was intentionally omitted for obvious reasons.
