Actually I agree with a lot of what you said in your last post.
We do need to address the waste and coruption in govt. and many homeless people could get off the street. I would beg to differ with you about the mentally impaired however. The paranoid schizos and the bi-polars live in thier own personal hell that as sane humans beings, if there is such an animal, we can't even begin to comprehend.
I'm for a flat tax, campaign finance reform, and end to these pork projects the lobbiest sell the military etc. etc. On the other hand I'm not in favior slashing social programs to the point where we create a sub-culture of throw away people, with no hope for either thier own or the future of thier children. In many ways the drug war has created an enviorment where that sub-culture can grow and thrive because of the enormous sums of monies it makes available to peoples who otherwise aren't qualified to work for minimun wage. When you hit a child you teach him to lie, when you deprive him of an opportunity to make money you teach him to steal and when you deprive him of love you teach him to hate. Do you get any of this?
