#1699 RE: ajs #1691

ajs, You can't be serious?.....

Perhaps it would be better to ask "why" the OU would ask anyone to send condolences to the Kahane family.... The Kahanes were terrorists, and murderers, and bigots - in the name of "god" - the worst kind of bigots. They held vile and truly reprehensible views about everyone who didn't buy into their ultra, ultra orthodox and perverse view of Talmudic Judaism. Do you disagree??...

Perhaps the OU should request condolences be sent to the families of victims of Kahane violence? Isn't that more appropriate?...

And one would have to be very naive to believe that poor, young Kahane fell victim to random terrorist violence. More likely the young "Rabbi's" assasination was the result of his own terrorist thug violence, a thug turf war, Arab thug v. Jewish thug, both terrorists and both equal enemies of the State of Israel. Do you believe condolences are in order here? Does the OU?

As for Rabin's murder (a tragedy), Amir was a fanatic member of Eyal, an offshoot of Kahane's terrorist network. So it isn't hard to "connect the dots", but even if Kahane's group wasn't behind Rabin's murder directly, many believe "Rabbi" Kahane's "un-holy" rhetoric was an incitement to such violence. Amir said that "god" told him to kill the PM, and these were very ugly people with very ugly, violent views.

In case you were unfamiliar, in case the OU is unfamiliar....

The Kahanes were very bad people, ajs, and there perverse doctrine would tend to promote antisemitism among those of that mindset. They were no friend of Israel, they were terrorist murderers, and their racist ideology rivaled that of Nazi racist ideology. And I don't think the world mourns their passing, nor should they.... No "condolences" here, ajs. People who promote the brand of hatred that Kahane did, and advocate and commit the type of violence that Kahanes did are enemies of humanity, of all people! Do you disagree?....
