I always find it hard to determine too much during the "lull" period. More telling will be what happens in the last 1-2 hours. I'm actually pretty impressed with the action for a Friday. Trading looks orderly, some profit taking - but no rush for the exits.
It would nice psycologically to see the market end on the upside, soothing a lot of frayed nerves going into the weekend.
