It is always amazing to watch history being rewritten before your very eyes. Those who dig and search for the truth will still find it, however I surmise it will be increasingly harder to determine the truth as time goes by. IMO, people are generally lazy and don't search for the truth. Instead they turn to CNN and the like for the truth as they wish to spin it.

Did anyone else read the text of Rev. Michel Sabbah (sp?), High Priest (Bishop?) of Israel's Christmas message at Bethlehem's Nativity Church?

In his message, he was critical of both leaders, Sharon and Arafat (The "F" Troop??), and their inability to achieve a peaceful resolution. He spoke of certain fundamental issues that I think both sides have forgotten, like peace and human rights. And he condemned violence. He spoke of Arafat specifically, but said if neither could achieve peace they should step down. His comments on the current status of Israel were the most reasoned, and humaine that I have seen in a long while. Under current leadership, I see nothing more than a continuation of the vicious cycle of violence, and the senseless amoral waste of human life.

Anyway, I thought Sabbah should run for PA President. He has my vote! :) Seriously, take it out of the Moslem arena, too much global conflict there. And in a post Vatican II Church, under this Pope, it might be a change that offers much needed hope.....
