It's hard to say at this point, all we know is that Kaplan has joined the Scientific Advisory Board; I would be hoping that means a forthcoming arrangement with Tufts but I don't think it's going to be free. The product referred to was " pure spider silk protein" and the idea is to produce it out of Monster Hybrid silkworms; the problem being seperating the silkworm protein from the spider protein. It's true once we have transgenetic silkworms spinning pure spider silk it seems logical that this would be the lowest cost method of producing pure spider silk protein; It's the interm that suppose the zinc finger pure spider silk worms are not ready yet how to seperate the silkworm silk from the spider silk to be first to the market. This problem I thought was bothering zinc finger yesterday and is bothering me now, The pr on Monday regarding David Kaplan was indicative that something related to the "proteins" could be coming and therefore part of the upcoming CC; Wednesday showed different
