Even in the land of crappy pink stocks, the Market Makers almost ALWAYS know 20 minutes in advance of hot news items, and prepare the bid / ask accordingly. A good way to see this is using Google Finance's stock tracker. It superimposes news items on the daily chart so you can easily see how each news item effects the PPS.
So, once again - logically we could say:
1) MMs are aware of incoming news before the general public and adjust bid / ask accordingly, EVEN in PINK LAND.
2) This isn't just about Pink, this is a high profile Wall St banking ordeal
3) If the MMs are privvy to news of meaningless little pink stocks, they (or someone else with enough powder to effect the PPS) should be slapping the ask all the way up towards dollar land.
