Len, I'm not disagreeing with you on the ease of trading ETF's, but I simply see no point in trading ETF's in a bear market when a great array of bear Mutual Funds exist, that's all. It simply makes more sense (to me) going long a Bear Mutual Fund then it would be to trade ETF's short. I know it stinks that they can't be daytraded, but I think the 3X outperformance and the fact that margin is not needed would overrule that factor...
I agree with the trading of ETF's over Mutual Funds, but in a proposed "Bear" market, ETF's don't come close to bear funds such as USPIX.
