dolamite, from what customer service has told me, it was primarily the filters that ran out, which means starter kits can't be sold either until filters are in. The filters come from an ISO 9001 manufacturing lab in Germany, not China.
dolamite - Hmm, great question; there is limited info about who actually is doing the parts and manufacture of the REAL device itself. The company website has a page on manufacturing but it only shows Dr Robert Wang assemblying a device and other pictures of the device assembly. I am not certain, but I am so far under the impression that the manufacturing facility is owned and operated exclusively by SmokeFree-Innotec, Inc.; possibly by the BVBA, which is the subsidiary company in Europe to SFI.
I am not certain about this though because even the financial filings have not shown details about manufacturing costs or where the product is actually assembled or exactly by who; contractors, the company employees themselves. I have for a long time and still do think though that the scenario for manufacturing is that the BVBA daughter company of SFI in Europe hires contractors/laborers to work at their manufacturing facility in China to produce the devices, then are shipped to Vegas to the parent SFI company; along with shipments from the European filter maker with whom SFI has an exclusive contract. I do not think that SFI does business with an independant company to produce the device, someone correct me if I am wrong. cheers
