It's about winning now. It's no longer about what is good for the country and the two sides agreeing on something. They can't agree on anything.
This country can't cut their way out of the hole we have dug any more than we can come up with the funds to rebuild the cities and towns devastated by the tornadoes this spring without raising taxes or at the very least resetting them to what they once were.
The republicans simply will not agree to a tax increase because they think they will have lost something.
Meanwhile most americans really think a tax increase is necessary.
