Thanks. The first site is exclusively French Franc, and they had a huge problem of instability (including creation of a new franc , or a reverse split 100 to 1). The second shows the post Breton Belgian value, something like $50 Franc to the dollar, but that is post the major devaluations in Europe in 1949. The Fed Reserve of Saint-Louis has the data (Thanks to Culmus), but I could not get the document, so I e-mailed their web master, maybe they'll get me the info I need.
