Soros is right...

Nothing coming to curtail the gold run with currency wobbles and economic uncertainty all around. Might as well get the leverage that comes from turning reserves into bullion. The world clamors for it when times are tough and the demand will continue on fundamentals when China, Brazil, and especially India get back to the inevitable rise.

Too bad George isn't our accredited investor. Seeing our ticker show up in his assets portfolio would shine a bright light on the opportunity here.

vp, thanks for this info. i'm wondering if soros not only sold his gold futures but went short at the top (1575), as the chart got hammered after his exit. while spot prices may recover, near term, i'm thinking we might see a bottom in mid-summer**. i'm sure soros will have accumulated even more mining stocks by then, and may go long in his futures position to increase overall leverage.

wouldn't it be fun if you could make a market like that? ;-)

** tonight the dollar index is up along with precious metals, probably due to euro debt crisis issues. this may not resolve for a while yet, which underpins USD.

That is true VP. I read this a few weeks ago. Soros is going big into mining stocks.
