As someone who was there I can tell you this is absolutely not true, the mod arrived on the same day that everyone else did. Choi was the first guy who really heavily promoted PSPW, though I will give assists to HDOGTX, Cash Devil and Balamidas who pumped briefly and bailed. The majority were alerted by Choi though thus the reason he is considered the first by most longs.
In addition he was the first to uncover much of the original DD as well.
