marcos... about your thread at SI-- yeah, I did read the header, it didn't mean much until I read about the long-wave theory. FWIW, in Kung-Fu there's a seasonality to a students training-- starting with spring and ending there once the training is complete... a beginner and a master wear the same color of belt.
I tell-ya both Sinclair and McEwan have made some ballsy calls-- they've backed up their bravado with cold hard cash and now they're on the top of the world.
