Look what Samson SSM did this year look at axas has done look at these small companies and that is your answer , And Diamond you are exactly right there is a huge market out there enough for the majors and the start ups that is what has made the markets what they are don't be such small thinkers, TEX
I'll add a bit to this. I don't know for a fact but I suspect that a significant portion of these reserves might be oil shale. Oil shale has not been cost effective to drill until the past few years due to advances in technology and rising oil prices. I suspect that big oil is more than willing to let small independent companies due the hard work needed to prove that these reserves are profitable. Once proven big oil will swoop in and buy the most successful. I'm hoping that is Mr Renfro's plan, actually. Prove that the oil is there and extractable and then sell off at a huge premium to a major corporation.
