actually yes I do...you obviously don't understand the music business.
If there is anything in this world I understand it's music, as it's been my passion for 15 years or so now. I have friends in the business, and I've done plenty of research on it. Had I not gotten married and had a family at such a young age, I'd probably be in it myself.
she had a contract with Sony/epic records for the beginning of her career...and now she left them and "signed" with Def Jam...what do you think it means when they say "an artist SIGNED with this label"
it means they signed a contract...they are owned by the company..their music is owned by the company...their videos are owned by the company.
it's a business, and the artist make very little in comparison to the label.
