I guess it depends if you were long indices or individual issues in Aug-Oct. 2002. If you went long at the NDX lows at 856, you would still have been long with a 10% stop even after the drop to the 795 NDX October lows. That wasn't real terrible. The BTK actually made a higher low in October 2002.
