To say that a layoff is de facto the sign of the bottom is to deny the reality of history.

I keep saying that the market advances are going to be nuilt on masses and masses of layoffs.

Last week I got telemarketing calls from AT&T Wireless, Liberty Mutual Insurance and Providian Financial whose calls were orginated from India.

You can look at it as loss of jobs in America or greater increase in global GDP. It is all a question of degree of short sightedness.
