I have no doubt that JBI's process can handle additional plastics but the output will (obviously) depend on the chemical nature of the input. Hydrocarbon outputs will not be the result of a polystyrene or PET input without addition of hydrogen (and most likely a different or altered catalyst) to cleave and saturate the aromatic portion of the polymer. This is not good or bad, it just is the way it is. As I have said before, I think what JBI is doing is smart by locating industrial sources of prime feedstock before it ever needs sorting. Down the road the process can be tweaked and improved to handle a wider variety of materials.
Would JBIIs product not be a natural fit for plastic manufacturers as the impurities are already removed - there would be no need to refine a raw oil product.
