try putting them in the shade on the east side each day in the afternoon

I only harden mine for a 3 days max before putting them out
usually only a couple
but they have to be in the shade on the east side with no wind
and make sure they have moisture

and a little seaweed or liquid kelp extract in their water feedings helps
