#10680 RE: bladerunner1717 #10676

>>I think it was unwise for Levitt to present the unbundled results in a public forum, when he knew damn well that the results would be perceived as less than stellar. He could have waited, saying that the company needed more time to analyze the data. I'm sure the conspiratorialists on the Yahoo board will find some nefarious reason for his--what I consider--blunder.<<

Blade: Dr. Levitt is not stupid, so I highly doubt the decision to release bundled data was a blunder on his part.

There are two possible explanations for the decision to disclose the data in bundled form:

1. The “208”protocol specified that manner in which interim data would be made available to the sponsoring company (GENR) and it specified that the Evizon arms were to be bundled; or

2. GENR did not want to reveal the unbundled data because the data are not great. If this is the case, the company is effectively using the bundling as a smokescreen to hide the data for the individual doses.

Take your pick (#1 or #2) but, either way, I don’t think the decision to disclose bundled data was a blunder or an oversight.

p.s. PGS, Katie. rkcrules et al: I’d like to hear your take on this one.
