I may be wrong but the market makers make a
market so that there is a bid/ask for everyone.
If you buy, you are buying from the market maker.
If you sell, you are buying from the market maker.

He needs to have an inventory so that you have shares
on demand. He can push it this way or that. He is
playing the market for both buyers and sellers.

Now I didn't say your theory is not valid. But I
said not today on the buy side. Your theory does hold
true.
