Again info used to support a TA & chart decision already made. All these "criteria" your bringing up can be used as warnings or support for your decision. I wouldn't use them as decision factors, but keep them in the back of my mind, watching for any indication the criteria actually plays a role in the move.
But you want me to tell you, your evaluation of what happens with stock price during earnings and the time frame you used, is correct or not.
I can't, I haven't evaluated earnings vs chart pattern success for some time and don't recall what I found. But I can say, I don't care about earning timing to a pattern now, so I guess it didn't matter much when I did. But it does seem logical to expect earnings results to effect chart pattern success fail rate. I guess my studies showed a null. I know it is a subject I did check over the years. But it's not big on my list of clutter to observe.
