Excellent piece AK, it's well written and exactly correct imho .... this is the same in all exploration juniors that are publicly traded, that any placement coming free-trading, and especially the larger ones, will create 'a significant overhang' on the market .... and there is nothing wrong with it, just part of the process, the thing is the speculator cannot get away with ignoring its effects

The effects aren't always immediately negative, either ... sometimes the shareprice gets a little 'gentle guidance', if you know what i mean, around or just after the free-trading date, perhaps helped by promotion based on what they're doing with the money, drilling and assaying, or in this case here doing a bulk sample of a placer property

That's what's important - what they do with the money they raise, how much they get accomplished, and what kind of luck do they have in results ..... you take that, put an enterprise value that you personally consider fair onto the project, then assess the company's future prospects for getting more financing and/or more results, then compare your perception of that whole against the current market cap

Mines are not easy to find, otherwise everybody would have one ... other side of that coin is, good mines can pay off ... wonderful business to speculate in, i recommend it to all ... but careful, don't spend the rent money -g- ... cheers

AK, you said My own spin is that Mr. Pfeffer either has great confidence in the company, or he is trapped by his investment because of MYNG's inability to pay his debentures.

Have considered both to be correct? The Pfeffers, K2 as I call them, have been around for years. They bailed out GE to the tune of $4,000,000 AFTER being invested in the company for years.

They believe in the deposit and I assume in Terry Turner, the CEO and the only attorney both licensed here and in Bolivia on the planet. He has done amazing things with the uneducated coops and has managed to get the rights to 74,000
acres of a historically metalurgically rich region. The current government seems to like him too. Water, electricity, experienced miners, and a respectable board of credentialed mining experts are at his beck and call. K2 either believes in the project and the deposit or they are the Suckers Digr says they are, nonstop.

I do not think they intend to dump their shares, they already have many millions of shares that they could be dumping right now, even without the CDs.

They are both well healed and seem to want to see this company do well. I doubt they speculate on much. They know what is really going on with GE after all, they sure know more than me!

The make GREAT interest on their loan, I would not be surprised if they both renew and wait. After 4 years or so, what is a little more time....they sure don't need immediate money.

Someone on RB or SI said they are looking for billions, not millions. I think that person is right. JMHO
