At some junction, when I expect a countermove that may impact the market (next three four weeks or so), I have suggested to the conservative types some "Dow gambit", a selection of stocks that, hopefully will participate in the run and without getting hurt too much if the gambit is wrong. It was played here only three times so far, typically a one month run with returns in the 10% to 20% if memory serves.
