Alydyr~re: holding through the dips (SIRI) ... pretty funny stuff;

purchased SIRI at $2.20, and held up to $8 or so. Never sold a share as it dropped below $6/share. After we had a few conversations he stated "I hope it falls below $4.50 so I can buy more" and "I'm not selling until it gets to $25/share

At least I can say I was in the opposite camp with SIRI and now am looking to see how low it can go (to buy back in?)

...your friends mindset reminds me of the folks on that otcBB board I follow (VTSI)... unfortunately, unlike SIRI where I took profits and have zero shares, I listened to the not selling under $2, hope it drops so I can buy more (etc.) posters on *that* board. I did sell enough to profit and have a core position that is pretty cheap but I question why I held them at this point. <gg>

what did he say when you pointed out the current price of SIRI? I hope he didn't say he was gonna "load the boat" <Bg>

best!

PS whatcha doing with DGIT? Still a mental stop at $1.10? tia

Well, I was talking to a Major in the Army a couple days ago. Did the same thing. I think I reached him though. He plansd to go buy some reading material before making any more decisions.

I told him to look at the Motley Fool books, Investing for dummies, and Investor's business daily to understand the basics.

The dude was basicaly following the "story" and not understanding the fundamentals behind the stocks.
