Blame? There's nothing wrong with filing an extension like thousands of other companies have done before. The funny thing is the last time I had this discussion with somebody on the meaning of filing a routine extension that company got bought out at a massive premium very shortly afterwards proving that routine extensions are commonplace and mean nothing so there's nothing to "blame" when it's not a negative mark in the first place.
You will see a laundry list of companies file an extension today and many of them will report blockbuster results later on and within the extension period.
