HE swept to the biggest victory over the ALP in 110 years but Premier Barry O'Farrell will be forced to negotiate with MPs who want target shooting in schools and women to view an ultrasound of their baby before abortions.
The Christian Democrats and Shooters and Fishers Party between them received less than 300,000 of NSW's 3.38 million votes - but they now hold ultimate power over Mr O'Farrell.
Reverend Fred Nile, Paul Green, Robert Brown and Robert Borsak said yesterday they would not be afraid to use that balance of power in the Upper House. Mr Nile said he wanted abortion laws refined and would expect the Coalition's support.
The Shooters' first priority is to have national parks opened to shooters.
Mr Brown said they would also push to have target shooting in the state's school curriculum. "We want to see that all students can access it and that it's made easier ... some students don't want to do football," Mr Brown said.

His call came just a day after it was revealed that a school principal took out an AVO against a student who threatened to shoot her.
Mr Nile said he would raise abortion as a priority.
"I would like it to be banned, but that is like raising a red flag to a bull," he said.
"I would like to see abortion laws refined so either women will be shown an ultrasound of their foetus before the procedure, as they do in some parts of America, or they have to see a counsellor once they make the decision."
The NSW Parliamentary veteran is also seeking immediate repeal of same-sex adoption laws passed last year, supported by Mr O'Farrell.
He said he would not stand in the Government's way and denied he would be doing "deals" to get his policies across the line: "I don't see it as doing deals, but if we are helping them then I expect that they would be looking fairly at our [policies]."
The Shooters, meanwhile, aren't messing around.
Mr Brown fired his first salvo yesterday, warning the Coalition of a voting strike by his MPs if the Government did not reintroduce shooting in national parks.
He and his colleague Mr Borsak made it painful for the Labor Government last year when a deal to support the legislation fell through.
