Just to help with an idea here (and I know this isn't a science or anything), if you had shiny 8-microfinished Bull-Horns on, you would have approx. 10 cores with roughly a 3% position in each with an assumed total of about 25-30% in core exposure. In a Dull-Horn state, maybe 2-4 core positions with approx. a total of 6-12% in the market (again, just concerning the core). Does this seem about right (roughly)?
For some reason (my lapse I'm sure), I thought there was almost always at least 15-20% exposure with these finer companies at almost all times - despite market conditions in either direction, other than the occasional and waranted profit taking (other then when you were down to 4, where the percentages would be more in line with 12%). Ugh...I think I just answered my own question on this part <g>. So perhaps you usually are never lower then let's say 10-12% in the core, whether the IT/ST stance is bear or bull within the primary bear...
