They don't have to get a PATENT in China. They can get a patent in plenty of countries WORLDWIDE, as long as it's not been previously patented!

The more I am reading deeper into this it appears that plants that come about through cross breeding and are reproduced asexually ARE patentable in several countries. Not sure if china is in the loop on this at the moment but they very well could be.

I haven't the time to read through it at the moment but will later this evening.
