Ak, some answers, seeing as IFR doesn't seem to know his hole from his elbow.

The conglomerate is huge, can't rember exactly but at least 20 miles by 75 miles.

There are a lot of Russian dumb trucks in Bolivia called Kamaz. They will hold about 12-14 yards but this stuff is too heavy so we used to put about 11 yards in them. They are a short whellbase tandem so they are good working in a pit with the tight turning radius. There are also some old American trucks and some Volvos.

There are no other public companies mining in the area at this time. there were a few in the mid 90's, 3 from Alberta, but they all failed.

There were probably over a hundrd concessions a few years ago but most have lapsed back to the government. There were new mining laws brought in about 1996-7 and the owners had to re-register and bring the fees up to date. Many could not do it. My brother is a GIS specialist and spent a few weeks down there implimenting the new system.

Most of the co-ops that were mining went bust when the POG tanked in 1997-8. The town of Guanay, in the middle of that mining district, shrank in population and many of the merchants went bust.

There are no major mining companies with any intersts in the whole area. A couple were sniffing aroun in about 1996 but left when the POG crashed.

Wanta buy a concession?? LOL

The common thread in the longs is that they know chit about gold mining!

I take umbrage only at people who distort the truth
for their own petty ambition, if Digr fits the bill
then I guess you're correct.

It certainly appears to me that he does.
