I suspect INTC is closer to the mark and would not be surprised if AMD does not end up having to warn before the quarter is reported. I believe they are in need of cash and are probably trying to improve their ability to deal there.
AMD has the credibility of the Taiwan folks, still a notch above the Japanese, though.
Lane, <INTC upping its midpoint 3 percent from $6.7 to $6.9 billion looks kind of skimpy next to AMD's 17 percent increase from $600 to $700 million. <LOL> >
Big deal. AMD is coming off of $500M Q3, which itself is a $200-300M miss.
"Those cunning operators at AMD stole INTC's thunder. INTC upping its midpoint 3 percent from $6.7 to $6.9 billion looks kind of skimpy next to AMD's 17 percent increase from $600 to $700 million. <LOL>" -------------------------------------------------------------- Lane....
Yes, but what I always keep coming back to is that the tiny little 3% raise for INTC is fully 1/3 of AMD's total revenues.
That is why AMD will never be a threat of any kind to INTC.
