dirtydave- I feel that Eric is being paid at the low end of what an average CEO makes. Attached is a copy/paste of an article that addresses this very topic. Keep in mind these figures are in US dollars. Eric must have seen some lean times when the currency disparity gap was huge.-TB

For a company with less than fifty employees, the average CEO will bring in between $90,426 and $182,618 a year. Conversely, the top executive at a company with over fifty thousand employees can expect to average from $140,000 to $346,528 annually (Payscale.com Dec 2010). The value of a company or profit level of its products and services can be a reason for much higher CEO pay bases. In 2009, the CEO of Exxon Mobil Corp. was given a base salary of $2.06 million (Marketwatch.com Dec 2010)."
