There is only one town across the border from Ljitas, and from that town, there is a two hour ride to the nearest border crossing (legal one). No roads.

This town is where Poncho Villa made his last stand back in the 40's. The people across the river there come across to Texas to shop for groceries and stuff. The border patrol doesn't really seem to bother them since they all go right back.

It isn't the kind of place conducive to gang/drug Lord activity.

No major roads. No other towns for two-three hours in any direction. And the desert and mountains are too rugged for foot traffic. I have spent alot of time on the borders growing up, and this place is NOTHING like a normal Texas Border town.
